Deuba consults ex-prime ministers

Kathmandu, August 19

Former prime ministers have told Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to discuss implementation of past agreements Nepal has signed with India.

This suggestion was made to PM Deuba during his meeting with former prime ministers Pushpa Kamal Dahal,  Jhala Nath Khanal, Lokendra Bahadur Chand and former Chair of Council of Minister Khil Raj Regmi.

According to Prime Minister Deuba’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Dinesh Bhattarai former PM Prachanda shared his experience of India visit during his tenure and urged Deuba to focus on expediting the implementation of past agreements that Nepal has signed with India.

Former chairman of the Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi also suggested to Deuba to focus on the implementation of previous agreements. PM Deuba told former prime ministers that their suggestions would be valuable as the government was finalising the agenda for discussion with Indian leaders.

The PM will visit India from August 23 to 27.
