KATHMANDU: Police said property worth Rs 1.77 million have been destroyed in fire at Gwarko of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-17, on Wednesday.

A short circuit had sparked fire at a Ugrachandi furniture industry operated by Sajan Tamrakar at Gwarko in Lalitpur district.

Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and locals along with four fire fighters contained the inferno.

Meanwhile, investigation into the case is underway.
