Rally to promote electric vehicles, bicycles

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (MoSTE) organised a rally here today with an objective to spread awareness on importance of electric vehicles at a time when the country is reeling under acute fuel crisis.

More than 200 environment-friendly vehicles, including bicycles, electronic cars, scooters and three-wheelers (safa tempos) participated in the event.

The rally kicked off in Jawalakhel in Lalitpur and marched through various places in Kathmandu including Tripureshwor, Ratnapark, Kaiser Mahal, Narayanhiti Dakshin Dhoka, Putalisadak and Babar Mahal.
