KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court on Thursday issued a directive order to the government telling it to review public holidays.

A division bench of justices Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada and Sapana Pradhan Malla issued the order in response to a writ petition filed by Advocates for the Nation demanding that the government declare national holiday on Christmas.

Chair of Advocates for the Nation Ganesh Shrestha said they filed the petition as the government decided to give holiday to only Christian employees.
