Rs 1.14mln collected for buying ambulance in Nagarkot

BHAKTAPUR: Approximately Rs 1.14 million has been collected under the ambulance purchase fund collection campaign in Nagarkot for buying an ambulance for Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) Nagarkot sub-branch.

The NRCS Nagarkot sub-branch is preparing to buy a new ambulance after the old one that it had been operating broke down.

They have so far collected Rs 1.14 million for this purpose, informed Som Sharma Bajgain, President of NRCS Nagarkot sub-branch, adding that various individuals and organisations have contributed money for this cause.

The sub-branch has been operating ambulance service at Nagarkot, Bageshwari and Chhaling areas of Changunarayan Municipality in Bhaktapur and in areas around Mandan Deupur Municipality in Kavrepalanchok district as well.
