Sajha Prakashan set to make audit report public

Kathmandu, July 27

Sajha Prakashan is preparing to make public its audit report for the last 11 years within two months.

Due to corruption and lack of proper management, the publication house had not been able to make public its audit report for the past 11 years.

Dolindra Prasad Sharma, general manager of Sajha Prakashan, today said that he was determined to make public the audit report. “I have already started works on preparing the audit report for the past four years.”

Sharma, who is also the chairperson of Sajha Prakashan Management Committee, said he had already talked to chartered accountants to provide accounts training to employees of the publication house.

“Accounts training for the employees will begin from August 4 and within a couple of months we will publish the audit report for the past 11 years,” he said, adding that it would be easier for the publication house to seek loans from commercial banks once the audit report is prepared.

Currently, Sajha Prakashan owes Rs 80 million to banks in loans. Similarly, its monthly expenses stand at Rs 7.2 million.

Sajha Prakashan mainly prints books related to literature and school textbooks.
