KATHMANDU: A seven-year-old girl died after being critically injured when a gate fell upon her in Nikhileshwor, Budhanilakantha Municipality-10 of Kathmandu on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Jenisha Gautam, daughter of Narayan Gautam.

Jenisha was injured when the gate of house belonging to Tevi Dahal of Nikhileshwor fell upon her while playing, informed police.

She was immediately rushed to the Chabahil-based Om Hospital and Research Centre, where she breathed her last in the the course of treatment.

Police are investigating into the case.
