Study in Europe Fair 2018 kicks-off in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, October 8

‘Study in Europe’ Fair 2018, a two-day higher education fair, began in Kathmandu today. The event has been jointly organised by the Delegation of the European Union to Nepal and its EU member states.

The fair is open from 10:00am to 5:00pm at Hotel Annapurna till October 9.

The fair was jointly inaugurated by Baikuntha Aryal, joint-secretary of the Ministry of Education and Veronica Cody, Ambassador of the European Union to Nepal.

The EU has a long history of cooperation with Nepal, supporting the Government of Nepal through various development cooperation programmes focusing its activities on three focal sectors: Sustainable Rural Development Sector, Education, and Strengthening Democracy and Decentralisation.

Eight EU Member States that include Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and the UK are participating in the fair. Representatives from the participating countries have presented their higher education offers and offered a talk programme during the fair.
