Theft case reported from assorted locations of Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Police on Wednesday reported theft cases from two different locations of Kathmandu Valley on Tuesday.

Property worth around Rs 129,000 were stolen from a shed in Nagarkot of Changunarayan Municipality-6 of the district yesterday, said police

According to police, an unidentified gang broke into a corrugated-sheet shed belonging to Jenisha Tamang and made off with various gold jewelleries and Rs 2,000 cash from the unattended shed.

Similarly, police have arrested two persons in suspicion of breaking into a furniture shop in Chandragiri Municipality-12 of  Kathmandu district and stealing 100 cubic feet of wood.

The Nawa Ganesh Furniture operated by Hari Bahadur Budhatoki in Chundevi was raided by perpetrators and made off with Rs 500,000 in woods yesterday, informed police.

Meanwhile, local police are investigating further into the case and search is on for the absconding perpetrators, said police.
