KATHMANDU: Property worth around Rs 495,000 was stolen from a rented room in Bagdol of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-4 on Monday.

According to police, an unidentified gang broke into the room of Anup Rai who hails from North Point in Darjeeling of West Bengal state and made off with Rs 200,000 cash and gold ornaments from the unattended room.

The search is on for the culprits, said police.
