KATHMANDU: Police on Sunday arrested three persons on the charge of possessing illegal firearms and ammunition from Nakhkhipot of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-14.

A team jointly deployed from Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu and Lalitpur arrested Hemraj Poudel (36) of Taplejung, Aanshuram Moktan (36) and Krishna Bahadur Jogi (24), both of Ramechhap.

The team seized a pistol with 'Made in Germany' label, two magazines, and five rounds of bullets from the arrestees.

The trio were arrested while they were walking carrying the arms, informed spokesperson of the Metropolitan Police Range Kathmandu, Mohan Kumar Thapa.
