KATHMANDU: Police arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in illegal trade of controlled drugs.

The arrestees were caught red-handed while they were trading 145 ampoules of various drugs on a roadside in Chobhar, Kirtipur Municipality-14, according to police.

The suspects have been identified as Laxman Bharati (22) from Kalaiya Municipality-15 of Bara, Niraj Chhetri (24) from Kalaiya Municipality-6 of Bara and Jubel Rai (32) from Jaulakhel of Lalitpur.

Further investigation is underway.
