Three held with controlled drugs

KATHMANDU: Police said they arrested three persons in possession of control drugs from Kathmandu Valley on Sunday.

Ranjan Shreebastav (19) from Birgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-3 of Parsa and Bikas Napit (28) from Thahiti, KMC-28 were arrested from a footpath in Kalanki, KMC-14, police said.

A team deployed from the Narcotics Control Bureau recovered 20 gram heroin as well as 396 ampoules of diazepam, buprenorphine and phenergan each from them, police added.

In another case. Sinar Paudel (29) from Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City-19 was arrested with 10 ampoules of diazepam, buprenorphine and phenergan each, on Sunday.

He was nabbed from Tilganga, KMC-8.

Police have filed cases against them according to the Narcotic Drugs (Control) Act, 1976.
