KATHMANDU: Police said valuables worth over Rs 1 million have been stolen from various locations of Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

An unidentified gang had entered into the Ankit Enterprises Pvt Ltd at Khusibu in KMC-17, after breaking the shutter and took away Rs 227,620 in cash from the shelf on Thursday.

Similarly, in the same location, property worth Rs 270,000 was stolen from a cosmetic shop's godown on Thursday.

Meanwhile, unidentified thieves barged into an unattended house of Bishnu Devi Budathoki (40) at Lokanthali, Madyapur Thimi Municipality-16 and took away property worth Rs 524,000 on Wednesday.

Police said they had entered into the house after breaking the lock of a main entrance and decamped with six tolas of gold ornaments and a laptop, added police.

Further investigations into the cases are underway, informed police.
