Tuladhar cremated with state honours

KATHMANDU: Senior leftist politician and human rights activist Padma Ratna Tuladhar, who passed away yesterday, was cremated with state honours at Shobha Bhagawati in Kathmandu today. He was 78.

He died of a brain haemorrhage while undergoing treatment at Norvic Hospital on Sunday. His mortal remains were kept at his residence in Lazimpat for family, friends and public to pay their last tributes to him before cremation.

The final rituals were performed as per the Newari tradition.

He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.
