Two held for 20-month-old robbery

KATHMANDU: Police said they recently arrested two persons, who were involved in a 20-month-old robbery case.

The suspects are Ram Mainali (28), a permanent resident of Handikhola VDC-1 of Makawanpur district, and Ram Hari Khadka (28) from Rajghat VDC-6 of Sarlahi district.

The duo, along with Ram Kumar Dulal (28) from Khanikhola of Nuwakot district, had robbed Nawaraj Sharma in Tinchuli of Bauddha, KMC-6 on January 4, 2014 of Rs 90,000 cash and a half-tola gold finger ring, according to the Metropolitan Police Crime Division.

Dulal was arrested three days after the incident and now has already been released on a bail of Rs 25,000, while two others were absconding, according to police.

Mainali and Khadka have been handed over to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Bauddha for further investigations and actions.
