UDMF lawmakers obstruct House meeting yet again

KATHMANDU: An agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) obstructed the meeting of the Legislature-Parliament today as well.

As soon as Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar announced the beginning of today’s proceedings, lawamkers of the UDMF stood up and chanted slogans demanding that all their demands be addressed at the earliest.

Though the government was planning to table the Constituent Amendment Bill registered by the erstwhile Nepali Congress-led government today, it could not happen due to the obstruction.

The next meeting of the Parliament has been scheduled for December 10.

After lawmakers of the Front foiled government's plan to table the Constituent Amendment Bill yesterday, it had decided to table the Bill today.
