UN delegates meet PM Dahal

KATHMANDU: A delegation of United Nations representatives called on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the latter's official residence in Baluwatar on Friday.

During the meeting, various issues including ongoing development projects in Nepal, supported by the UN involvement, and Nepal's political situation were discussed, according to the PM's Secretariat.

On the occasion, Dahal expressed gratitude to the UN for supporting Nepal in the peace process and development projects.

The delegation included UNICEF's Executive President Walton Alfonso Webson and Permanent Representative of the UAE Lana Nusseibeh, Deputy Permanent Representative of Japan to the United Nations Hiroshi Minami, UNICEF Executive Board Secretary Nicolas Pron, Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Nepal Valerie Julliand, Permanent Representative of Panama to the United Nations Laura Elena Flores Herrera, Permanent Representative of Mexico to the United Nations Juan José Gómez Camacho and Permanent Representative of Eritrea to the United Nations Girma Asmerom Tesfay.
