KATHMANDU: One woman died while her husband and son sustained injuries after wall of their house collapsed in Aalapot, of Kageshwari Manahara-3, on the northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu, on Monday.

Police identified the deceased as Sushila Basnet (42).

One of the walls of their house collapsed after incessant rainfall this morning, according to police. Sushila, her husband Ramsharan Basnet, and their 13-year-old son Sulabh were buried in the ruins.

All of them were rescued and rushed to the Jorpati-based Shakarapur Hospital. Critically injured in the incident, Sushila, however, died during the course of treatment, police informed.

Rasharan has been discharged from the hospital, while Sulabh has been admitted to Dirghayu Guru Hospital in Chabahil for further treatment.
