KATHMANDU: The fifth edition of CMS All Nepal Caddie Championship is slated here at the Royal Nepal Golf Club on Wednesday.
A total of 65 caddies across the country will take part in the annual event sponsored by International Society for Medical Education (ISME) Pvt Ltd. The tournament carries a total cash purse of Rs 100,000.

KATHMANDU: Nepal No 4 amateur player Bishnu Sharma is on Monday leaving for South Korea to attend three-month training camp at the Namseoul Country Club.
The South Korean Golf Association selected Bishnu from among three golfers — two others being No 1 amateur Dinesh Prajapati and No 2 Bikash Bogati — requested by Nepal Golf Association (NGA). “We had requested the South Korean Golf Association to provide training to three players but they selected the 27-year-old Bishnu,” said NGA General Secretary Tashi Ghale.

KATHMANDU: Sukmaya Tamang, an 11-year old from Sarlahi, had never thought that even a physically disabled could enjoy playing basketball.

KATHMANDU: Ajit BK and Pratima Sherpa won the titles of the RNGC-NGA Junior Golf Tournament here at the Royal Nepal Golf Club on Sunday. Ajit played 16-over 73 to finish ahead of Sukra Rai (79) and Shiva Raj Majhi (83). KATHMANDU: Nepal No 1 pro Shiva Ram Shrestha defeated defending champion Abhijit Singh Chadha in playoff to win the Surya Nepal Masters here at the Gokarna Golf Club today.
The match went into playoff after Shiva Ram missed a birdie putt from eight feet and was tied at 18-under 270 with Chadha, who settled for a par from 10 yards on the final hole. KATHMANDU: Nepal’s hopes of qualifying for the 2014 ICC U-19 World Cup was extinguished by the 76-run ACC U-19 Elite Cup semi-final defeat at the hands of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the Bayuemas Oval grounds in Kuala Lumpur today.
