KATHMANDU: A man died and four others sustained  injuries after a motorcycle plowed into pedestrians in Krishnapur Municipality of Kanchanpur district on Monday night, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Prakash Bohora (15) of Krishnapur Municipality-1 in the district.

According to police, the incident occurred when the motorcycle (Se 4 Pa 2417) lost its control and hit the pedestrians at 8:45 pm yesterday, critically injuring five.

The injured were rushed to the Dhangadhi-based Seti Hospital where Bohora breathed his last during the course of treatment, while others injured have been undergoing treatment there, informed police.

Meanwhile, local police have impounded the motorcycle and detained its driver for further investigation, said police.
