The deceased has been identified as Rajiv Bhujel (29), a permanent resident of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-15 in Sunsari district.

Bhujel was en route to Itahari from Biratnagar on his motorcycle (Ko 11 Pa 7014) when it collided with the bus (Ba 3 Kha 7870), critically injuring him, according to District Police Office (DPO), Sunsari.

Injured Bhujel was rushed to the Biratnagar-based Golden Hospital where he breathed his last during the course of treatment, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Narayan Prasad Chimariya of Sunsari DPO.

Meanwhile, police have impounded the micro bus and detained its driver for further investigation, said DSP Chimariya.
