10 hurt as bus plunges into Baglung river, 1 missing



KATHMANDU: As many as 10 persons were injured after the bus they were travelling in fell below the road in Dhorpatan Municipality-2 of Baglung district on Tuesday morning.

According to police, the bus (Lu 1 Kha 7439) en route from Butwal to Burtibang was ferrying 17 passengers when it ran out of control and plunged about 10 metres into the Gangare River injuring 10  persons aboard, at Gangare, at 5:00 am today.

It has been learnt that one of the women passengers has gone missing in the accident.

Meanwhile, the injured have been sent to the Burtibang-based Primary Health Centre for treatment, informed police.

Further investigation into the case is underway while search is on for the missing, said police.
