109 citizenship certificates distributed

Siraha, July 15

District Administration Office, Siraha, today distributed citizenship certificates to as many as 109 persons through a one-day integrated mobile camp organised in Jamadaha of Golbazaar Municipality.

The locals of the northern part of the district, for whom reaching the district headquarters to avail citizenship cards was not possible due to their poor economic condition, received the citizenship cards at the mobile camp organised at Saraswati Secondary School.

Chief District Officer Rudra Prasad Pandit said the office provided the cards to those persons, who had produced ward office recommendation and other supportive documents at the camp.

He added that as many as 109 people, including 69 women, received the cards at the camp. As many as 108 persons received citizenship by descent and one received naturalised citizenship.

The locals were also provided free health check-up at the camp.
