KAWASOTI: At least 11 people were injured when a bus rammed a parked truck this morning at Nau Thumsi of Gaidakot Municipality of Nawalparasi along the East-West Highway.

Of the injured, two are said to be in critical condition. Those severely hurt are Ramkisan Chamar (40) of Susta, Nawalparasi and Dilip Chaudhary (32) of Bardghat-3, the District Police Office Nawalparsai East said.

The passenger bus (Lu 2 Kha 379) en route from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa hit the truck (Lu 1 Kha 8113) bound to Bhairahawa from Narayangadh at 5:00 am today, according to police. The truck was parked on the roadside.

Meanwhile, the injured are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in Bharatpur, Chitwan.
