KATHMANDU: At least 21 persons sustained injuries after a passenger bus and a truck collided head-on at Rudraksha bridge in Sainamaina Municipality in Rupandehi district on Friday.

Of the injured, two persons are said to be in critical condition. Both of them have been undergoing treatment at the Butwal-based Lumbini Zonal Hospital.

According to police, the passenger bus heading in a westward direction from Butwal collided with a speeding truck coming at around 4:00 pm today.

Meanwhile, the injured have been receiving treatment at the local health facilities.

The investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
