BETRAWATI: Two persons died on the spot and 15 others sustained injuries when a bus they were travelling on fell below the road in Suryagadhi Rural Municipality of Nuwakot district this morning.

The deceased are yet to be identified, informed Chief of Nuwakot District Police Office SP Basanta Kunwar.

According to police, the bus (Ba 1 Kha 6356) en route from Samundratar to Trishuli skidded off the road and fell 150 metres below the road near Chheri Rivulet in Ganeshsthan today. The bus was carrying more than 50 passengers, police informed.

Five of the injured who were said to be critical were rushed to a health institution in Kathmandu for the treatment while others have been undergoing treatment at Nuwakot District Hospital in Trishuli.
