KAILAIYA: As many as two persons died and 27 others were injured in a bus accident in Jeetpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City-1 of Bara district on Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as Balla Yadav (45) of Rautali-6 in Mahottari and Kiran Devi Sah (32) of Taryeti in Dhanusha.

The incident occurred when the passenger bus (Na 7 Kha 1614) heading towards Janakpur from Kathmandu, lost its control and turned turtle on the road this morning, according to the Simara Area Police Office.

All injured are being treated at various hospitals in Simara. Police are searching the bus driver who fled the scene after the incident.
