TAPLEJUNG: The historical Diki-Chhyoling monastery in Olangchunggola of the district is in urgent need of repair. The 400-year old monastery developed several cracks in the earthquakes last year. Chairman of the monastery management committee, Nurpu Sherpa, complained that the concerned authorities were not paying serious any attention to the timely repair of the monastery, which is known for its historical, cultural and religious significance. He informed that hundreds of historical and cultural scriptures, idols and paintings related to Buddhism are kept in the monastery.
