KATHMANDU: At least three people were killed as a a truck hit a passenger bus at Narsingh of Sunsari district on Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as Khursid Alam (30) and Hasim Miya (35) of Narsingh-1 and Santosh Karki (32) of Morang, informed the District Police Office, Sunsari. Alam and Miya were bus passengers while Karki was bus conductor.

According to police, the moving truck (Na 3 Kha 8990) hit the parked bus (Na 5 Kha 4804) and caused the fatalities.

The total number of passengers on board the bus at the time of accident is yet to be known.

The families of the deceased have been informed about the incident, police said.
