3 health post buildings handed over in Kavre

DHULIKHEL: Three health facility buildings, constructed with the financial assistance of Korean Red Cross under the coordination of Nepal Red Cross Society, were handed over on Friday.

Handing over the newly-constructed buildings to the local governments, Red Cross Society Central Chairperson Sanjeev Thapa said that they had constructed the buildings following the April 2015 earthquake.

On the occasion, Health Ministry Chief Public Health Administrator Ramesh Adhikari said that the local governments should be vigilant of the service delivery through local health facilities.

Nepal Director of Korean Red Cross Sani Kim shared that the Korean Red Cross has been working in the health and education sector of Nepal by mobilising volunteers.

Likewise, Red Cross Society's Earthquake Response Programme Chief Umesh Dhakal informed that the buildings were constructed based on pre-fabricated technology in the design approved by the Nepal government. The building constructed by the Red Cross at Rabiopi, Dhulikhel Municipality-2 has necessary equipment, nine rooms for employees, and two rest rooms.

The health facility buildings were constructed at Rabiopi health post in Dhulikhel Municipality-2, Mahendrajyoti health post in Banepa Municipality-12, and Ryale health post in Panauti Municipality-1.

Red Cross Society was entrusted with the responsibility for constructing new buildings of 12 health facilities in the district.
