3 pilgrims killed in Syangja jeep accident

KATHMANDU: At least three persons, who were returning from a temple, died in a jeep accident, in Khilung Deurali village of Syangja district on Wednesday.

The jeep (Ga 1 Ja 5985) was carrying pilgrims, who were returning from the Khilung Kalika temple of the district.

The deceased have been identified as Hum Bahadur Rokka of Khilung Deurali-3, Manisha Rokka of Swarek-7 and Tulsi KC of Darsing Dahathum-9 of the district, reported the Rastriya Samachar Samiti.

Total 10 persons were travelling on the jeep, and three sustained minor injuries, according to local police.

The injured have been rushed to the District Hospital from the incident site in Chiurikharka, Khilung Deurali-6, the RSS added.

The ill-fated four-wheeler had met with the accident due to the brake fail, police surmised.
