300,000 children still deprived of education: Education Minister

KALAIYA: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel has spoken of the need of a revolution in the education sector.

Speaking at the 'student enrollment guardianship taking and school textbooks distribution programme' organised by Saraswati Bidya Mandir Primary School in Bara district today, the Education Minister said a campaign has been started throughout the country for the development of education.

Minister Pokharel shared that around 300,000 children across the country were still out of school and the government was doing homework to get them into schools.

On the occasion, Mayor of Kalaiya Sub-metropolitan City Rajesh Raya Yadav, provincial lawmaker Mohammad Samir, school inspector Ashok Rauniyar, provincial Member of Parliament Paras Saha and social worker Geeta Pradhan took guardianship of five Dalit children.
