33 injured in bus-truck collision in Dhading

KATHMANDU: As many as 31 persons have been injured, three critically, in a bus-truck collision at Khatauti Khola in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality of Dhading district on Saturday morning.

The passenger bus (Na 5 Kha 502) that was heading towards Kathmandu from Mahottari had collided head on with the truck (Na 6 Kha 124) coming from the opposite direction, along the Prithvi Highway, said Inspector Barun Bahadur Singh at the Gajuri Area Police Office.

Drivers of both the vehicles have also been injured in the incident at around 6:00 am, added Singh.

Those critically injured were rushed to Kathmandu for treatment whereas others are receiving treatment at Malekhu Community Hospital and Gajuri Hospital.

It has been learned that the accident occurred when the bus was trying to give side to the truck.

Further investigation is underway.
