4 held with body parts of endangered animals

KATHMANDU: Four people were arrested with different organs of endangered animals by police teams deployed from the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal police.

The arrestees are identified as Sita Shiwakoti (40) of Sunkhani-1 of Dolakha, currently living in Gokarneshowr Municipality-9, Subash Rijal (18) of Manamainju in Tarakeshwor Municipality-16, Subin Guragain (18) of Tarakeshwor-2 and Manisha Neupane (19) living in KMC-29.

Police have arrested Shiwakoti with skulls of pangolin and tortoise, horns of deer, hides and bones of other species on Friday and Rijal, Guragain and Neupane with a deer musk on the following day.

The suspects have been sent to the District Forests Office, Hattisar for further investigation and action.
