5 dengue patients found in Mahottari

MAHOTTARI: At least five cases of dengue have been reported in Bardibas of Mahottari district in the recent days.

According to the Public Health Inspector at the government hospital in Bardibas Min Bahadur Sen, five patients including Chief of Gauribas Health Post Mahendra Shah were tested positive for dengu virus when they reached various health facilities in the district with complaints of high fever, severe headache, pain in muscles and joints and rashes among others.

Others detected with mosquito borne disease were Kishore Bhattarai (38) of Bardibas Municipality-1, Pramila Karki (30) of Bardibas-2, Khin Maya Pokharel (60) of Bardibas-5 and Khur Haru Adhikari (40) of Bardibas-14.

“Minister for Health Giriraj Mani Pokharel, who is currently in his hometown in Mahottari, has already instructed the Chief of the concerned authorities for the prevention of dengue virus infection,” said the District Public Health Office in Mahottari.
