KATHMANDU: At least seven persons were killed and six others were injured when a passenger micro bus met with an accident at Birbas of Gulmi district this afternoon. Two persons went missing in the incident.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be established.

All the injured have been taken to a local hospital in Palpa, informed the District Police Office.

Superintendent of Police Anurag Kumar Dwivedi was quoted in the Rastriya Samachar Samiti as saying, “Of the 15 persons on board the micro bus (Ba 4 Kha 5501), two persons including the driver were missing in the incident.”

“The cause of the incident is yet to be known, said police. The vehicle was heading to Tamghas in Gulmi from Butwal.

Search and rescue efforts are underway.
