House collapses killing woman in Bajura; torrential rain increases risk of landslides

BAJURA: A house collapsed killing a woman in Budhiganga Municipality-1 of Bajura district on Friday night. Several other houses were also damaged due to incessant rain.

45-year-old Kala Pari died after being hit by rubbles when the house belonging to Nande Pari collapsed due to incessant rain at Makka has last night, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sagar Bohara at Bajura District Police Office.

The DSP said that the Security personnel were dispatched to the incident site which is among the remotest area of the district.

Similarly, three other houses have also collapsed at Saudwada of the same ward due to the incessant rain. However, no human casualties have been reported, DSP Bohara said.

Likewise, the torrential rain have damaged several houses and posed the risk of landslides to others, informed police.

It has also been reported that Sanphe-Martadi road stretch in the district has been obstructed due to rain-triggered landslides.
