Allergy, typhoid taking toll on Okhaldhunga quake victims

OKHALDHUNGA: An unusually long stay in the open has exposed earthquake victims in Okhaldhunga to a number of health complications.

According to Okhaldhunga Community Hospital Data Officer Phadindra Dani, the district has witnessed a surge in the number of patients visiting the hospital for treatment of allergy.

“As they have been staying in the open for long, they have been exposed to the cold and insect bites and leeches, this has especially put children at risk of typhoid, allergies and various other diseases,” said Dani.
