Amendment bill will be endorsed by majority: Deuba

MORANG: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed his confidence that the second Constitution amendment bill registered at the Legislature-Parliament last Tuesday would be endorsed by majority.

Speaking with journalists at the Biratnagar Airport in Biratnagar on Friday, the former Prime Minister reiterated that although few political parties have expressed their displeasure over some issues covered in the bill, it would be eventually endorsed by majority.

He said that it was not a right time to agitate, arguing that the agitation would not resolve the issues rather incite the problems.

Responding to the queries of journalists on civic polls, leader Deuba stated that all the political parties have agreed to it and election process would start once the Local Level Restructuring Commission submits its report.
