Arun River Accident Update: APF's diving team on search operation

BHOJPUR: A divers’ team from the Armed Police Force (APF)-Nepal has been assigned to search for the six persons, including an infant, who went missing in Arun River.

They had gone missing after the jeep they were travelling in fell off Akkar Bhir in Dharmadevi Municipality-8, Sankhuwasabha on Tuesday night.

A team of four divers led by Senior Head Constable of the APF, Balram Adhikari, arrived at Tumlingtar in a helicopter on Thursday afternoon. The team will reach the incident spot via road and start the search operation.

The police have identified the missing persons as driver of the jeep Santosh BK, Sangam Shrestha, Sadikshya Shrestha, Sameer Shrestha (2 month old infant), Pramesh Thapa Magar, all from Khandbaari Municipality-9 of Sankhuwasabha, and Khabarman Pithakothe of Khotang.

Currently, 25 security personnel are labouring at the site of Akkar Bhir.
