Baglung leaders want district intact

KATHMANDU: An all-party delegation from Baglung district on Saturday urged Prime Minister Sushil Koirala not to split the district into two Pradeshes in the federal set-up of the new constitution.

The delegation led by lawmaker and Nepali Congress district president Prakash Paudel submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister this morning with a request to keep the district intact.

According to PM's press coordinator Prakash Adhikari, the delegates told the Prime Minister that no any party in the district accepted the proposal to split the district.

In response, the Prime Minister assured that the Constituent Assembly would address suggestions of Baglung people, Adhikari informed.
