Bajura school reeling under water crisis for 6 years

BAJURA: The Pandav Lower Secondary School of Bajura district has been reeling under acute shortage water for the past six years.

According to Principal Krishna Giri, the school has been facing drinking water crisis after the floods swept away the water supply pipes.

He informed that they had urged the concerned authorities for the maintenance of water supply pipes over and over again in the past but to no avail.

Teachers and students of the school are forced to drink contaminated water of Hurke stream.

Students are forced to use open space to answer the call of nature due to lack of water.

The water shortage has caused direct impact on the study and health of students, Giri informed.

Narilal BK, Chairman of the Parent-Teacher Union informed that they are forced to use the open space for defecation as they do not have any other options.
