Bara, Parsa offices face tough time handlilng clients

BIRGUNJ: Various public offices in Bara and Parsa districts have seen a sudden surge of service seekers lately as the day-to-day operation of these offices were adversely affected for last six months due to the Madhes strike.

The indefinite strike waged by the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) in various districts across the southern plains in protest of the new Constitution has been postponed for now.

The postponement of the indefinite strike has brought respite to the service seekers here.

Meanwhile, security personnel have been mobilised in the Nepal Electricity Office in Birgunj as service seekers have thronged there to pay their bills in discounted rate.

The strike had thrown the public's life in Bara and Parsa out of gear whereas the development works were at grinding halt during the agitation.

The disrupted public offices here have resumed services since Thursday.

The UDMF had decided to postpone its agitation and let public offices render services from last Wednesday.
