PARSA: A girl was killed and two others were seriously injured when a lorry bearing Indian registration number plate hit a motorcycle near Parawanipur of Parsa on Saturday.

The deceased girl has been identified as Om Rawati Kumari Sah (17) of Bara. She died on the way to the Narayani Sub Regional Hospital in Birgunj, police said.

The lorry (PB 65 M 9086) en route to Parawanipur from Birgunj hit the motorcycle (Na 27 Pa 9086), which Sah was riding, while he was heading towards Birgunj.

The identities of the two injured persons are yet to be ascertained. They are being treated at the Gandak Hospital in Birgunj.

Police have impounded the lorry whereas its driver fled after the incident.
