Big III not serious toward talks, says Mahendra Yadav

BIRGUNJ: Chairman of the Tarai Madhes Sadbhawana Party, one of the constituents of the agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front, Mahendra Raya Yadav, said the three major parties are not serious about talks with them.

"Instead of starting a dialogue, the big three are doing media propaganda in Kathmandu," Yadav said at a sit-in in Nepal-India border Miteri Bridge, near Birgunj on Saturday.

He complained that Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and UCPN-Maoist have not made any meaningful initiation for the talks.

“No talks have been held so far,” Raya said, “It is not talks to have some cups of teas with Mahantha Thakur.”

He accused the government of not being responsible towards the nation's problems.

Meanwhile, the Madhesi leader said the agitating parties themselves had been imposing a blockage at border points and India was not involved in that.

He warned that the protests would continue till all of their demands were met.
