KATHMANDU: Three persons were injured in a motorcycle accident in Golbazaar Municipality-6 of Siraha district on Tuesday night.

The injured have been identified as Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Genalal Yadav, stationed at Gobazaar-based Area Police Office (APO), motorcyclist Asagar Ansari (17) and pillion rider Toshif Ansari (16), both residents of Naraha Rural Municipality-3 in the district.

According to police, the incident occurred when the motorcycle (Sa 5 Pa 896) hit the pedestrian ASI Yadav and fell down on the road in front of the Golbazaar APO at 7:45 pm yesterday, injuring all three.

The injured trio were rushed to the Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment, informed police.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
