DHANUSHA: A youth was killed after in a bike hit incident in Janakpurdham of Dhanusha last night.

The deceased has been identified as 19-year-old Mahesh Pandey, son of Premnath Pandey of Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City–7.

Pandey, a priest by profession, was riding on a cycle and heading towards Mahendranagar for a routine work when the motorbike (Ja 3 Pa 2359) struck him along the Laxminiya road stretch, police said.

He had succumbed to fatal injuries at the Janakpur Zonal Hospital.

Police have detained bike rider, Abhinat Singh (30) of Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City-1.

The body is currently being kept at the hospital for an autopsy, according to the District Police Office.
