IED defused in Bajura

BAJURA: The Nepal Army's bomb disposal team based in Tilichaur on Monday afternoon defused Improvised Explosive Device (IED) found near a polling centre in Budhinanda Municipality of Bajura district.

The IED was found near Jana Prakash Higher Secondary School, the polling station in the Municipality this morning.

Meanwhile, security personnel have spotted another suspicious item planted in Laltin Bazar in the locality.

Effort is on at the site to examine the item found in Budhinanda Municipality, a THT source in the district said.

Bomb found near polling centre in Bajura

BAJURA: A bomb has been found near a polling centre at the Jana Prakash Higher Secondary School in Budhinanda Municipality of Bajura district on Monday morning.

Locals had immediately informed security personnel about the suspicious object, which police identified as a bomb,  said local Dharma Raj Thapa.

The suspicious object was spotted at around 9:00 am today.

The Nepal Army's bomb disposal team based in Tilichaur of the municipality has been sent to the site to defuse it, Thapa informed.

Meanwhile, police have cordoned off the site.
