Butwal Sub-Metropolis promotes self-entrepreneurship

BUTWAL: Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City has started to provide training to as many as 400 youths for the development of self-employment scheme.

In the first phase, a total of 365 youths from all 19 wards of the sub-metropolitan city are selected under the 'Mayor Youth Entrepreneurship' programme.

Mayor of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City, Shivaraj Subedi, said that the young people would be participating in a range of training programmes for three months and then they would be provided with employment opportunities in collaboration with the employers.

Altogether 25 people have been selected for training on the maintenance of excavators, bulldozers, graders, roller and vibrators of heavy hydraulic system and they will receive training for three months in Auto Village of Ujirsinghnagar.

Similarly, 20 others would learn about auto mechanics, 22 about general mechanics, 35 will be trained on wielding solar electrical, 20 will receive plumbing training, while 107 youths are selected for training on fashion designing. There are also others who have opted for other courses.

Marking the commencement of the programme, Mayor Subedi said that this training was a part of campaign to make the town prosperous, adding that the dream would be materialised only if the youth force was strengthened.

Mayor Subedi also shared that the employers and training providing institutions have cooperated with Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City to yield results to this regard.
